While all of ya'll are so sad the weekend is over, the weekend never means anything to me. Since my husband works all the time, and I cannot remember the last time he had a weekend off, there's no such thing as Monday at my house. I won't lie, I'm a little bitter, can you tell? I can't stand to read things like "YAY it's Friday, cant wait for the weekend" and "spending time with the family this weekend" It seems like we NEVER get family time anymore :( It was not always like this. Before we had Landon, his work schedule was normal. But it's progressively gotten to where we just no longer see him. I know it could be MUCH MUCH worse, we are very thankful that he is home every night. I could not deal very well with that, and I sympathize for women with their husbands overseas, or traveling all the time.

ANYHOW, we spent the weekend cleaning (some) and knitting (lots) and playing (lots)

This morning, my friend brought her kids over so she could go fight the crazies at TRU for some Christmas shopping! We had a great time, I thoroughly distracted them with electronic devices, while I played with the baby/kept him out of stuff, and knit 1 row of knitting! Those of you that knit and have small kids, know the art that is knitting with small kids
... knit 3 sts, get kid out of trash can, knit 10 more sts, keep kid from hitting other kid, knit 5 more sts, get kid out of cabinets, knit 2 rows...wait, the kid is being really quiet...find kid in pantry with flour all over the floor. Vow not to knit till kid is in bed...
Anyhow, here was my clever distraction tool! muahahaha

Then it was my fav time of the day..MAIL TIME!
I always drool all over my yarn mail, it's a bad habit. Today, there was LOTS of yarn waiting in my mailbox! Now I need to learn to knit even faster. I buy like a rabbit and knit like a turtle. It's a problem, I think. NAH

I dont know how I let this get so far behind--oh yeah because I STINK at stuff like this!

Anyhow here's the last 4 months in a nutshell---me not being able to breathe, chasing two kids, getting to look like the size of a large tank. 35 more days to go! PHEW! I swear this is my hardest pregnancy BY FAR. There's really going to have to be some baby amnesia to talk me into that 4th one!

I am SO ready for Christmas to be over too--mainly because I'm SUPER excited to give the boys all the gifts we got them this year, and it sucks not having my dad here to share it with :( I know he'd be having a BLAST with them this year as they have grown up so much :(

18 months?! And some other updates!

I cannot believe my little baby boy is 18 months old! He sure doesn't act it! LOL He still tumbles or runs into things when he walks, he's such SUCH a clutz. But he is talking like a maniac. Mostly just like a parrot when his brother says stuff. He amazes me every day, I so underestimate my children's intellegence. When other people say "Oh my child said a full sentence at 16 months he's a genious" I generally tend to underthink it. I guess it's a big accomplishment considering Andrew was nearly 2.5 before he said anything in a sentence you could understand. He IS very athletic also compared to Andrew, though Andrew is getting much better. He can certainly chunk a ball w/ a degree of accuracy that Andrew learned way later. He climbs on EVERYTHING too which Thank God, Andrew never did.
But under all that brute looking boy is a squishy little baby that loves his mama! He curls up with me on the couch in the afternoons and we watch Jacks Big Music show before his nap. he will turn around and give me kisses (all kisses are accompanied by a huge MUAH! LOL) and hugs and continue to sit there and watch his show and shake his tubby little body to the music LOL I adore him more every day.

Andrew starts school next week!! Bittersweet, though it will be nice to not have a 4 yr old up my butt 24/7, I will also miss it I'm sure! He's SUPER excited about it. He keeps counting down the days! I also signed him up for a fall baseball league that he's excited about also. He keeps telling me he gets to go play baseball with some friends. Baseball is a huge form of obsession lately. I need to get a video of it, but Andrew will bat and Landon will pitch him the ball! It's amazing. My own little baseball team. Now we need a little catcher...dont worry I'm cooking one for you guys! LOL

Landon's little spoiled butt LOL He sleeps as late as he wants to, anytime he cries he gets immediately coddled, and he eats w/ his feet propped up on the table.
He's growing up so so much lately. This week he learned to climb on the couch, and scale the baby gates. I dont care what anyone says, life is not over after your child starts crawling/walking---it's when they start CLIMBING that life is over. He can pretty much get to anything now that you "put up" so he couldn't reach. AHHHHH!!!! Save me!!

He's also gotten really into telling his brother off. Which I cannot help but let him do since he's talking now, after all, he learned from his brother talking to HIM like that!
So this is what my day sounds like

Ok well at least that's what we think right now! I know it's too early to be 100% certain but it looks a lot like a boy down there for now! She said boy then changed to girl when we told her we did the hokey poky 4-5 days before I ovulated. I think her original guess was correct though as I look at the pics, looks just like Landon! So more than likely more blue for our future! At least I have a TON of boy names picked out!

Weekend at the river

Well you could SEE the river, it's down pretty low and apparently when that happens there are lots of snakes so I decided it probably wasn't a good idea to take the boys down there.
DH's parents renewed their vows for their 40th wedding anniversary this past weekend. We went to Seguin to shop, I mean celebrate with them! It was pretty fun, Andrew had a blast getting into trouble with his cousins. Landon fell off a bed. I got bit by a spider. Tons of fun.
We did do some shopping on the way home which was pretty eventful. And I ate way too much food.

My spider bite (at least I THINK that's what it is) it itches like CRAZY but it's not like a bump or a mosquito bite for sure. it itches all the way INTO my muscles so much that my neck was itching INSIDE the skin today. It's killing me! I have taken benadryl like a loon!

I did manage to get some knitting done while we were down there!

Not much going on here, still SICK but I hope it subsides soon! I do feel like I have a tad more energy---though that's not a good thing, this energy gave me enough to make a cake that I've eaten 1/2 of so far!

Landon got a haircut this week. It's so hot I just decided to shave it---bad decision, he looks so old :( I hate it!

Andrew learned how to hit a ball with a baseball bat this weekend! I'm impressed since *coughDHcough* no one ever works with him! He must have mommy's hand/eye coordination! LOL

4th of July was fun. We went to see the fireworks and BOTH kids loved them! Andrew kept calling it "Landon's Happy Birthday" No idea, but we kept telling him it was America's Birthday--he wasnt having that. It was all for Landon LOL
Oh and the baby in my belly grew a pee pee, he's saying it's a boy in my belly now. He's so wishy washy! LOL

After getting some zofran prescribed to me I managed to feel human enough to allow myself out of the house a bit this week! I still feel like someone beat the crapola out of me but at least I'm not wanting to chunk my food up in the process so YAY! Hurry up 1st trimester! What 3-4 more weeks? Like morning sickness really leaves at 13 weeks! One can only hope

ANYHOW, Daddy made the last minute LOVELY decision of going to the Rangers game last week. It was oh, I'd say about 180 degrees outside and we had great seats! Yeah RIGHT IN THE SUN. 1st row to the SUN seriously. So until the sun sat behind the stadium we all fried like bacon. Well I fried like bacon, my kids were blessed apparently with the ability to not fry. Anyhow I think I've blogged about the game (did I mention in that one that it was hot) So here are the pics!

Today, against my better judgement since yesterday I had some spotting, but I feel like it's nothing really, we took the kids to the water park. I'm glad I did, sitting in the water felt sooo good and Brad pretty much handled on the boys so I just kind of relaxed :) The boys had A BLAST, even Landon was trying to swim! I did not fry, I brought sunblock. The boys are starting to get a tan this year, watchout---someone will think I stole them!

Oh and kind of funny, when we got there I noticed this little girl---maybe about Andrew's age or older, had her swimsuit off and I'm watching her like that is weird. Suddenly she's wiping her butt and putting her POOP on the side of that big water slide thing!!! OMG! FREAK OUT! LOL Anyhow, they shut down that part of the pool for AN HR while they sanitized it. I was like "Andrew, do not open your mouth!" GAG GAG GAG

Seriously nothing exciting to post about, I can barely move around I'm so tired and sick all the time so far so I'm REALLY hoping this passes soon!
Last night we took the boys to the rangers game, but I cant find the card reader for me SD card so the pics, they remain on the camera LOL It was SO SO HOT and my lovely DH bought tickets that were like directly in the sun until it set. It was awful miserable for about 1 1/2 hrs. Landon amazingly LOVED it...loved the cheering and the fireworks. Andrew was a BUTT, seriously the whole time A BUTT. We left about the 7th inning. Oh well LESSON LEARNED!!
Tonight we are going to the water park, though the way Andrew is acting I'm not sure he should be able to go. I dunno what his deal is lately but he's been quite the TERROR!

Anyhow here's some pics from the past couple of weeks!

Here's our little bean, at 6 weeks (measuring 5 weeks 5 days) and we were shocked to already see a heartbeat!! What a little trooper!

We've been cloth diapering for a while now, since Andrew was 15 months old. I was SO skeptical when I first started. Honestly I dreaded it, but Andrew had severe reactions to a lot of disposable type diapers so I felt like I had to do SOMETHING to make it better! It only took about 10 seconds with my brand new squishy fuzzi bunz, bumgenious and GADS diapers to realize that I'm going to LOVE this!! It makes diapering FUN!

Here's some of my fav things about cloth diapering in no particular order:

1. FUN to shop for!
2. Saves the earth!
3. There's no running out at midnight b/c you ran out of dipes!
4. Fun to shop for! LOL
5. Better for their skin
6. Apparently disposables have been linked to many other healthy issues, and not just skin issues--reproductive issues also!
7. Fun to shop for!

Well there's a new dipe I've been eyeing that I want to try. We've tried a LOT but this one seems pretty easy for diapering on the go or quick diapering at home! Much like a disposable if you arent used to cloth diapering! It's the GroBaby diaper! I'm a sucker for a one size dipes, and I've never seen these until just recently! Check them out!

I mean me, not Landon. I've eaten way more this week than I ever eat, and mostly it's bad stuff--sweets, cookies, canned peaches, cinnamon toast, cheeseburgers w/ extra onions and chocolate shakes. No nausea yet, I pray it stays far far away this time!

Because I'm belly pic OBSESSED I will prob post weekly belly pics.

And on crafting news, finished some pants for a customer (yes I'm knitting for other people for $$ already, even though I said I would not!)
They are so girly and soft! Still need to finish the drawstring and wash/block them but here they are!

I promise I still have kids, pics are coming! Landon got some new crocs last night, he HAD to have them. He HAD to put them on first thing today. He loves them, crocs are his fav things LOL

Landon's 15 mo appt and a haircut!

DH's been off work since Thurs, it's kind of nice! But he works tomorrow so it's all over with then. I better get lots of stuff done today!

Landon went to his 15 mo drs appt on Friday, he's such a CHUNK seriously. I was super amazed he was only 25 lbs! Got 2 shots, his first DPT and a HIB booster. Got the talking to about delaying his vaccinations, annoying.
Here's his 15 mo stats:

Height: 31 1/4" 50%
Weight: 25 lbs 5 oz 55%
Not sure on head. they didnt tell me

I guess he's thinning out, but I dont see it! He's still reletively short compared to where Andrew was at at this age

So yesterday I FINALLY cut my hair. I swear I was looking like a true hippie, my hair was down to the middle of my back, it was AWFUL. Feels about 1000 times better, and great for summer!!

On pregnancy new, this pregnancy is already starting to feel a lot like Landons. I feel great, no nausea yet (STAY AWAY) but when I tried to eat some bacon this morning it made me not feel so great. I dont really want a salad, mostly I just want Dr pepper LOL And cookies. Great I'm going to be 20000 lbs

If I didn't believe my test yesterday, today's confirms it! YAY for wearing maternity clothes and not sucking my gut in for 9 months then having a teeny baby afterwards!
I'm pretty shocked we got pregnant so fast, after it taking a little while with Landon among other TMI reasons LOL

I'm itching to knit some newborn things and sew up some newborn dipes so I'm sure he/she (or SHIM as DH likes to refer to it already) will be stocked up nice when they come in Jan!

It's been a busy few weeks I guess, well no not really but I have done a lot of knitting and sewing!
I finished some shorts, started some more though I dont have a pic yet of the finished shorts! Sewed some diapers up that had been cut out, and Friday we went to the zoo w/ my best friend Cassi and her son Korben! We had a blast even if it was 5000 degrees outside :)

Crochet shorties

As promised, a pic of my crochet shorties! Normally I dont like the look of crochet items, but this turned out REALLY cute! And they are great for night and naptime diapering :) Super soft too, I've had this yarn for a while and I didnt know what to do with it!
I will have to make a couple more..and maybe some soakers when we get pregnant for a new babe!
Not TOO shabby for my 2nd crocheting project :)

I also made 31 new cloth wipes :) They are flannel/sherpa and we really needed some more! If you havent tried cloth wipes, you have no idea what you are missing! When we were in Houston I used disposable wipes for the first time in almost over a year and it was DREADFUL. Takes 3 or more wipes to clean up a poo where ONE wipe gets it done easy w/ cloth! Plus they are so much thicker than disposable wipes. They actually sell them at BRU too! I saw them today when I was there picking up FINALLY a gummy cover to go on the rail of L's crib. He's like a flippin beaver, I swear he was going to build a dam or something w/ his crib rail!
Anyhow here are the wipes!

And the teal yarn I dyed, starting to knit up...they are actually finished now, just finished them tonight while watching the Biggest loser :)

Since we've been working on the backyard a bit, and it's getting grass b/c DH is watering it finally, we went outside to play the other evening! The boys had a blast running around, I think I will do this more often now that it's still pretty cool outside. We are going to go get a water table for them tomorrow and maybe some other things! They both love the pirate ship and kept going in and out of it, Landon loves the slides now suddenly but cant quite figure out how to crawl up onto the slide himself :)

Landon FINALLY got a haircut the other day--looks like a hack job as usual for $19 WOOHOO. I need to start shaving it, but I cannot bring myself to do it to his pretty hair! Where can i get a decent trimmed up haircut? GEESH

It's not fair, I have no family left. It's a super lonely feeling. No parents, no family here to share my boys with. Oh the pity party I could throw for myself. Poor me, wah wah, Boo hooo.

I didnt even feel like getting out of bed, but I did and we didnt go to church, but we DID get dressed up and go to IHOP LOL I see an easter tradition in the making! :) Kids didnt even get to hunt Easter eggs this year b/c I'm a sucky mom and it was raining.
We did manage to last min shop for easter baskets on Sat though YAY

Trying to get back to blogging. As all of you probably already know, my dad passed away last Tues morning and it's been really rough on all of us but I'm trying to move forward. Still to touchy to talk/post about it and what a great father he was but he was, and I feel like a piece of me will forever be missing :(

Sunday we went to go see Thomas! Andrew had a great time even though it was a TERRIBLE day. It was super sunny/ flipping cold an windy UGH. We were all pretty miserable from it, even L and I got sunburned! We learned our lesson though, go on the FIRST weekend they are here and NOT mid day!

My dad, the kid's Gran Gran, is having open heart surgery on Monday morning to replace an infected artificial valve had put in almost 7 years ago. I'm a mess, I am VERY close to my dad and a huge daddy's girl, and I really just need him to be strong and stick this out. I know it's tough, and watching him go through it tears me apart. I'd give anything in the world to make him better and healthy.
Anyhow, please just think of us Monday as he will be in a risky surgery all day and then weeks/months of recover afterwards. Any prayers are greatly appreciated, as we need tons.

We finally broke down and took the boys to the park to me. SILLY ME thought I could get some pics of them--they had different ideas. Landon was fussy when we first got there--didnt like the swing, didnt like the slide, didnt like the bouncy animals.
He got over it when we let him explore! Oh he also ended up LOVING the bouncy animals--time to drag out his New in the box bounce and spin pony!

I sure am--I'm thinking of calling the mommy abuse hotline today! Man Andrew is on a roll. I cant tell you how many times I've been told i need a spanking today for taking things away from him. Pretty soon he'll have nothing left and I"ll have to make him go naked (no wait he'd like that!) I'm fed up with his tude lately! I know he's bored and we should prob go out and enjoy the nice weather today though, so it's partly my fault :(

Landon has been cracking me up lately (dont worry he drives me nuts too) He loves this hot wheels mountain I bought for Andrew, he's constantly digging through the toy bins for cars to run over and put them on the mountain. Who knew he'd love it so much! It's totally cute though. Then when the car falls off the edge of the mountain he goes "OOPS!" and picks it up!
He's a walking fool now too, barely crawls anymore at all. Which makes me sad :( I miss having a little baby.

I did sew some this weekend YAY--made a diaper. This is my best one so far, I'm getting better. It works about 10000x's better than ones I pay $30 for so I dunno what i was smoking!

"my child doesn't do that" anymore! AS SOON as it escapes my mouth they do it!
Only I guess I can say good things like "My child doesnt listen" and then maybe they will start listening? I guess it doesnt work that way!

JUST YESTERDAY I was talking to my friend Cassi about how my children dont climb things. Andrew never really did it at all, even when I encouraged it. Heck he was in his crib till he was like 27 mo old w/o climbing out!
And Landon well I think he's just too chubby to get over things so he doesnt (DIDNT) climb until the words escaped my mouth.
TODAY the kid gets up on this little plastic step 2 chair we have and STANDS UP ON IT! Talk about a heart attack. I take it out of the room and he cries (drama drama) and then we come home later in the day after we went out and he finds that darn thing in the kitchen and there he goes again! He also has been riding the plasma car we have--I will have to get this on video. I used to let him sit in my lap and hold the wheel while I drove it, and now he gets on it and twists the wheel to drive it! It's pretty funny! He was trying to STAND on that thing today too.
I am terrified he's going to try his crib next because he watches his brother climb in and out of it in the mornings. Oh no save me now!

In other new, my good friend Rachael is having her baby girl as we speak so GOOD LUCK RACH!! I made her some customs that took me forever to get to her b/c that's how i roll with the customs! Here are some pics of them! She also got 2 tops and a bib out of me too! :)

I dont know why, Landon looks so old in this pic to me! And look at that insane hair! The only bad thing about his hair is that it's so long you have to comb/style it. I cant bear to cut it though, it's so pretty!

Landon also learned how to drink out of a straw. It's so funny, Andrew took FOREVER to learn but Landon got it right down! He loves this organic milk stuff I buy Andrew. And Andrew shares it with him! SO adorable :)

My baby's first sickness

Well Landon didnt get better, and I'm tired of his awful coughing, so we put him on his first time on antibiotics :( I hope it clears him up fast, I'm so tired of him being runny nosed an coughing and well he's pretty fussy compared to how Andrew was anyhow but I'm tired of that too! Can i please get some medicine for that! haha
But other than being sick he's been walking a lot more--not so much talking anymore, like he quit or something. He learned the magical word THIS and how to point so like his brother he no longer has to say words, just point. Now I"m pretty sure he just grunts and points. Great LOL And even if I refuse to get it he will cry and Andrew will get it for him.

Landon's 1 yr stats!

Went for Landon's 1 yr appt today! He actually talked for the dr which is odd b/c he isnt really overly vocal and he said MONKEY after he said it! He was impressed!
We had our first shots, just MMR and pneumococcal :( And he had a teeny ear infection which he said seems to be clearing up on its own. He's been sick for a week now so that's probably why. He doesnt like to give antibiotics and neither do I so I was down with that.

Anyhow, here we go!

Height 29 1/4" -25% (my little shorty!)
Weight: 23.2 lbs - 50% (gee he's wider than he is tall! LOL)
His head was like 18 1/4" I think he has a huge melon I think but she said it's 20% or so.

He's slowing down SO MUCH on his weight with the walking, starting to loose those rolls a bit :( But I dont think he will be a stick like his brother EVER!

Since it's warming up here in TX, I figured I better get down and dirty with the summer buying so ITS ON right now :)
Went to the outlet malls today after Andrew took a tour of the firestation this morning! We got some pretty good stuff! If you have a baby, the carters outlet was the place to be today--GREAT deals! Landon got a TON there! They also built a stride rite outlet out there that I am personally happy about since Landon has elephant feet and needs extra extra ginormously wide shoes!

Anyhow! before the fashion show, I wanted to see if someone could help me with my ADD. I am not finished with the elephant--OR the headband I started, and I cast on and knit through some shorties, I'm about 1/2 done with them. Something is wrong with me. It's not just knitting either, I'm ADD with my crafting too! I have so many sewing projects on the table it's nuts! Cassi's pillow the back is not on and it's still not stuffed (which would be hard with no back) and I have a shirt cute out for Landon, 2 dipes cut out to sew, and I'm cutting out about 100 wipes b/c I'm tired of losing wipes to the same monster that eats ONE sock in the dryer apparently.

Happy birthday to my little boy :( I am so sad he is one today :(
We had a great time at his birthday party--he cleaned up on presents seriously!

I try not to be sad about him turning one because when I look back at Andrew that was my FAV age from 1-2. So many exciting things happen in that age, they grow up so much and turn into little people. Still I mourn not having a baby anymore! Maybe I'll just keep having kids HAHA

Ok well I lie I made ONE sock--the yarn is on the way for the other one!
Cassi got me this yarn for Christmas and it inspired me to make socks!

And I made baby socks for Landon too (which he wears and LOVES I think)

I'm actually having a pretty hard time with my baby being one. I have baby fever bad, and heck he's still a "baby"!
Got all of the party supplies yesterday though! All I have left is to get the balloons blown up and make his little baby cake. It's barnyard theme so we are having bbq so I need to find a place to order some, and we are having cobblers instead of a big cake. Although Brad's cousin is making my FAV-strawberry cake and bringing that! LOVE HER! :)
Landon started Monday night pretty much walking full time out of nowhere--it's weird to watch him toddle instead of crawl. He's growing up too fast. It's sad and happy at the same time. Fun to watch the boys really play together, and seem more equal. But then I miss my chubby little crawler too :(

We were playing in the front yard this weekend!
Finally Andrew learned how to pedal a bike! Not entirely his fault, we didnt get out much and work on it, he still stinks at steering but it's a start! Now I wish I'd gotten him that darn smart cycle on clearance. Oh he has officially broken EVERY DVD player in the house--we can no longer watch DVD's LOL and :(

Landon is OMG at the words---and sometimes I wonder if he just says something and it SOUNDS like he just said what i am thinking but Andrew ALWAYS asks him "what you doing?" and he said it like 5 times tonight! I cannot get him to say it on command but he does say it IN CONTEXT! He also is going to have to get a leapster or magnadoodle of his own--those are his two FAV toys, mainly b/c he sees big brother with them, but hey he's working the pen!

I think blues clues was on---or shrek, those are the favs at the moment

I'm so impressed with how well he does the eyes! And he can now draw the letters L, C, A and O! I am working on him trying to do his name so maybe that will be soon! He's also starting to "read"--mainly he memorizes things that I read to him I think but hey, it's a step! I think I will get hooked on phonics to work with him on.
We signed up for next year's preschool class! I'm super excited, they do a ton of "sit down" work next year and it's more like school than his 2 yr old class (even though he's 3) is this year! They also asked me if I wanted to work there--L would be 18 mo and go to school there too but I'm just not sure! We kind of wanted to have another baby so I guess I will see where we are with that! It's probably a great opportunity for both boys, and I love that i'd be RIGHT there all day--I know I'm a hovering parent LOL

Fast post right now as I'm about to run out the door to pick Andrew up from school! Almost done with my first pair of longies!! I dyed this wool (see older post) and now it's getting knit up! I'm really enjoying the way it looks!! I hope i dont run out of yarn so I can make them pants. It's going to be close!

YAY!!!
I'm so excited I finally finished these! Well it actually didnt take me that long but I worked CONSTANTLY on them! I am so excited! He will have a little matching bunny top to go with them too! They match the colors from the book Guess How Much I Love You! Not too too shabby for my first pair! Already cast on another pair that HOPEFULLY I can finish soon, I have a few other customs to do though!
Still needs a drawsting and then they are completely done!

And in other yummy wool news, Landon got these ADORABLE mosaic moon longies in the mail today--they are TDF cute seriously. And they smell OH SO GOOD. She used Bare Naked wool wash from Ewe Need It and I HAVE to order like a TUB of it and spray it all over my house it smells SO SO GOOD! No really it smells great LOL
And they are REALLY cute and a great fit on him! Great for today since it was pretty cold taking Andrew to school!

One of my favorite things… is saturday mornings when the kids wake up and either we all play in our bed together or we go get breakfast and all eat. I love Sat mornings. Too bad my DH is about to RUIN them with his softball playing (I'm bitter LOL)

A few plans for the rest of the week… Oh gosh, taking Andrew to school, taking the school some things we no longer play with, need to return some things to Joannes, knit knit knit, sew sew sew, take ebay pics, clean out garage...fun huh?

Finished a scrappy hat I started last week! I LOVE it, I think it's the first thing I've made so far that i truly LOVE--it fits ME and Andrew LOL Yeah I have a small head.
I am working on a pair of pants for Landon so I will post those as I make some progress hopefully SOON!

And in rare fashion, my kids took pics today for me--sort of. Impromptu pics, but at least he wanted to take pics with him so I was all for it! Sorry they arent the best but the kids are pretty darn cute if you ask me!

Last night...i Dyed

LOL Literally I wanted to dye everything in my house. But instead I settled for some bamboo velour, some prefolds for Rachael and a skein of yarn.

Turned out pretty good---now if I could figure out what to make with them..hmmmm

These will be prefitteds I'm making for rachael: the newborn ones are SO TEENY! So cute!

Yarn: not sure if I like it but I dyed it so I better huh? :)

Landon is in teethng hell or something---I'm afraid he may have an ear infection, but no other signs of being sick. Except the CONSTANT WHINING! It's keeling me!
But he was pretty cute yesterday! It was cold so we broke out the sweater --yes ONE sweater we have! And the hat I think is too small darnit! I love that hat!
And the shoes are too small now too--he's between a 4 and a 5 I think! BIG FOOT!

I think it turned out pretty neat! I originally just wanted something to knit and I really like it! Now I'm going to make a blue one with some yummy yarn Cassi got me and and red/blue/white/green one with some yarn I bought tonight--Addicted? YES! Landon has been walking like crazy since this evening, usually we do this go to mommy go to daddy thing about 2-3 times a week...he's never interested. Either just stands there or crawls off. He only "walks" between things...a few steps here and there, but he stands really well all on his own. I think it's the bubble butt, gives him great balance LOL

Today he took I'd say about 10-15 steps at one time all on his own! Soooo I got out the video camera and caught him at the tail end of him wanting to walk, he was tired but I made him do it anyhow. I like how he just falls on you when he gets close LOL Andrew used to to do that too! I must say, for such a new walker, he's much better than Andrew was! Andrew was very off balance, but L is much more sure of how to fall if he needs to, or how to steady himself! BIG BOY! :(

First Christmas, First Haircut!

MERRY DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!
OMG I am so glad that's over. Family drama, not fun.

Anyhow, we got Landon's haircut for the first time the other day. I'd had it with people telling me what a pretty girl he was LOL so we finally did it. Andrew had his first haircut at 10 months so I figured it was time! Well...he looks like a little boy now :( And SO DIFFERENT from Andrew. Where did this light hair, blue eyed kid come from? Obviously he's not mine! LOL

The boys had a blast on Christmas, Andrew was GRUMPY, I guess he didnt get enough sleep. grump most of the day! Landon didnt really know what was going on and mostly wanted to play with Andrew's leap frog pen--that was his fav toy, and Andrew's tent LOL. Andrew I think loved his firetruck and Landon's blocks. Do I see a Christmas trend here?
Seriously, my dad got Andrew a tent and OMG they have SO MUCH FUN in that thing! (see video) it's hilarious! I wish Andrew wasnt so ROUGH with Landon but they do play the best together in it.

10 months old

I still cant believe my little baby is 10 months old :( This time has flown much faster than it did with Andrew! He continues to take steps but hasnt gotten the confidence to take off on his own. I think he'd step on his own feet anyhow, he turns his little toes in and steps on his own feet LOL

3 more days till Christmas!! We are all done, I just need to wrap and BAKE! Hope everyone is ready!

Every day I tell myself, Kristen you need to blog that...and do I? Nope. I am lazy, I admit! ANNNNYHOW, this is what's been going on the past couple days, bunched into one crazy blog!

First off, that hat, the one I blogged a few days ago, well I eventually screwed it up! LOL I knew it would happen! But I think it's fixable, I'm just too scared to touch it! I switched to double pointed needles (dum dum dum dum dum) and I forgot to knit them on and I just slipped them on. (dum dum) anyhow, it ended up being all backwards when I started knitting--big mess.

Lucky me, I caught it only 6 stitches in so there it is, my mess---but the rest of it looked nice! LOL If I can fix it, it will be really pretty :)

In more knitting news, I dyed my own wool the other day too! I'm 50% happy w/ how it turned out. Moreso b/c I didnt get burned and no one was turned green or brown in the making of it. Well here is a little swatch of it knitted up. Not sure what it will be someday though

Well in brighter news, I have a 3 yr old...free for shipping. Will send clothes with him when he arrives LOL

I'm not even sure I can bring myself to do it, but the other night had to comb the tangles out of Landon's hair so it may be about time to cut it! Especially since I get more and more of the questioning, "is that a girl?" comments from people. I swear he could be wearing a flashing neon sign that says I'M A BOY and people would still think it was a hand me down from his brother and obviously he is a girl right? LOL

I promise you, if I have a girl SHE WILL WEAR GIRL STUFF not her brother's stuff. I promise!

Anyhow, I've been being crafty lately--making some felt food which I will picture here after I finish the set! Almost finished with my took me entirely too long knit hat. Bought a TON of stuff today to dye my own wool! Lots and lots of crafts going on here!!

Last week I decided to teach myself to knit. I couldn't take it anymore, so many yummy wool diaper pants and shorts and I cannot afford them :( So what do I do any time I cant afford things (sewing custom outfits, photography...) I make it my goal in life to learn it, and get good at it and DO IT MYSELF! LOL I really do,I'm starting to realize that. I guess it's a good thing. Anyhow, if you too would like to learn to knit, I learned on this awesome site www.knittinghelp.com. Great videos for me that needs it spelled out for me :)

Anyhow s here's my first knit....thing....ever. It's not really anything yet but hopefully it will be a functional hat for Landon when I get done!! IF I get done, it takes me a while since I'm new at it and SLOOOOW!

The boy's checkups!

Both boys had well checks today at the drs! Went pretty well, Andrew was a little difficult but for the most part pretty good. He got a shot :( I was so sad for him :( But he got over it quick w/ a sucker and a sticker!

Landon says WHAT!!! I'M HOW BIG?!?!?

Landon is A BIG BOY--seriously HUGE, not even kidding LOL TOTAL opposite of Andrew!
L's 9 mo stats
Height: 28 3/4-29" 60%
Weight: 22 lbs 3 oz! 75%
Head was 18 1/3 cm

Andrew's stats for 3 yrs are
Height: 38 3/4" 75%
Weight: 32 lbs! 50%

Both boys are healthy healthy! Which is always fun to hear :)

Landon also decided to stand and take some steps the other day. he's been standing on his own for a few weeks now, balancing pretty good, but the other day he took some steps away from his toy towards me! SAVE ME! Tell my baby to stop growing up!

I cannot believe that Landon is already 9 months old! Seriously it has just FLOWN by, I thought Andrew grew up fast but I feel like I cant keep up with how quick Landon is getting older :(
He's developing quite the little personality daily! He's super sensitive, doesnt like anyone getting mad at his brother or anyone else around him. He loves to talk now, still not quite the talker that Andrew was but well, when A's around who can get a word in anyhow? LOL Brother does LOTS of things for him so he's a little on the dependent side, I guess most 2nd children are. But he loves to play with his toys now, and crawl around or walk in his walker or push his little car across the floor.

He's got 4 teeth on the top, 3 on the bottom and 1 trying to poke through on the bottom! 8 teeth at 9 months! Guess he wants to get some teeth in so he can have a steak! I'm being careful about his food though, still only had sweet potatoes, bananas, some cereal--I think peaches we tried too. With the reflux issues we had as a baby, food scares me!

And tonight I am going to see TWILIGHT with Beth! I am so excited! We are going to go eat at PF Changs and then off to see a movie! I dont think I've had a girls night in..well since before I had kids so I'm REALLY excited!! Tomorrow Beth is doing our family pics for us, we are headed out the stockyards to get pics..then maybe back to the house for some studio pics.

On Andrew, he was 9 months in this video. Time really does fly...he was such a SILLY high energy baby! Nothing NOTHING like Landon at all which is so weird to me! Not that Landon doesnt have energy--and dont get me wrong he is WAY more high maintnance and into than Andrew was but he isnt spazzy like this! This kid cracks me up!

Landon's first word!

Well i lie, he's been saying BABA for a while now but I refuse to recognize that as a word. Last night he FINALLY said MAMA!! Its so weird b/c by now Andrew was saying Fish, ball, Lexus, dada...he was a talking machine! Landon must be the strong silent type LOL
I'm just happy is MAMA and he's not waiting till oh 18 mo to say it!

Oh he also learned how to put balls into his roll around dinosaur :) So he puts his little roll arounds in there and watches them roll down! I think he's trying to clap too :( My little boy is growing up way way too fast!

Anyhow, we all have a cold or something today and we're home. But I have to run to A's school anyhow b/c I did a project for their Holiday Bazaar for tomorrow. AHHHHH!

Well I was playing around today and I took this pic and this pic is exactly why

1. I do not have a lazy eye...but when I take pics I ALWAYS have one..or look 1/2 drunk one or the other. Doesnt matter when/where/how many pics always do I look drunk or have a lazy eye ALWAYS

3. Yes that's a pimple, you know you saw it and gasped w/ horror. I never wash my face, no really not ever Gross, my poor face is going to be wrinkled up before i'm 30

4. My grey hair will match my wrinkled face. You cant see it b/c well it's a badly dark pic, that's the only forgiving thing this pic had for me

5. Apparently I need to go back in time and someone needs to teach me how to put on makeup...no really I cant even blend it in. Not that I have time when I'm getting 2 kids ready to go trick or treating..ah enough excuses..I've seen people w/ more kids walk out of their house looking like they stepped out of a damn magazine..learn how to do makeup, that's what i need to do!

good news is that we MAY get a kitchenette hotel room! I HOPE SO, i'm tired of not cooking. It's got a full size fridge/oven a whole little kitchen, it's NICE so CROSS YOUR FINGERS I dont think i can go 3 more weeks on nasty fast food.

Isnt he the cutest! Tried his costume on today and I LOVE IT! :) He'll have a little black nose :) Andrew's costume came today too but it's at my SIL's house so I may pick it up tonight and take pics of it tomorrow! He's a fireman, I cant wait to see it because it was super $$ so I hope it's nice!

So do we think black or white shoes? I was thinking some black cons but I am not sure his fat feet would fit in them!

Toilet bowl bandit

That's what L is, any time the bathroom door is open he's off to go in there and try to get into the toilet bowl. It's his mission! I dont know what he plans on doing once he gets to the toilet bowl, I think he just wants to play in the water. I almost cant keep up with him these days he's so fast! Amazing those big ole thighs can move so fast!

That's me, I've had some stomach flu since Thursday. Friday night I ended up in the ER hooked up to an IV. It got worse before it got better but I'm better today I think! I better get better b/c my husband promised to take me out to some nice places to eat while we were down here and I've been living off of gatorade and Jello UGH

On a bright note the boys arent sick! I won Landon's Halloween costume on ebay cheap today, a little dalmatian and Andrew is going to be a fireman! Landon's been saying BABA, GAGA and that's about it, but I think little tubby's first word is going to be bottle LOL how appropriate. His front teeth are almost all the way in, he looks so OLD! 8 months today, I already have baby fever, God help me!
Andrew has been playing w/ his cousin down here, and he loves that. For some reason he keep asking when it's going to snow? He's obsessed w/ watching charlottes web, but what else is there to do in this hotel room? I think now that I feel better if the weather is good we may go out to a park or something tomorrow poor kid is getting cabin fever...snow? haha

Well its no where near fall like weather here, but there's some good light in this hotel room so I sat them on one of the chairs and put some fall outfits on them. Landon was near nap time and wasnt having it but I bribed Andrew pretty well w/ some fruit snacks. MUAHAHAHA

The boys have been a little sick, maybe the stinky refineries around here and the smoggy air..just some runny bowels and that's about it. Not fun for ME though! :)

Ah Hotel life

It's actually not that bad, today the maid came and changed the bedding, cleaned the tub, toilet and sink. Vacuumed, washed down the mirrors (there's lots of mirrors in this room! LOL) and changed the trash. NICE! I may move here
It's really big too, i'd say at least 500 sq ft, 2 little rooms that are open to each other and a bathroom vanity area and a toilet/tub room. Not too shabby of AT&T! Anyhow, no clue on how long we will be here...could leave this fri, next fri, fri after next...they wont say. I hate that not knowing :(

I needed some retail therapy bad after this last week! I tried so hard to be good, I was :) Gap had extra 25% off sale prices and believe me I walked away from A LOT! I did get some underoos for Andrew for about $5 for 3 pair in a pack! Two packs! And a pair of jeans for Landon for about $6.50! Nice soft pull on ones too LOVE THEM. And a Halloween top for Andrew, you know b/c we are in TX and he needs a long sleeve halloween tee when it's 86 high everyday.

Anyhow I also spent a measly lone ONE gymbuck (dont worry I've spent the other ones online dont feel bad for me! LOL) And I got landon the cutest little outfits, and Andrew some train underoos (he had to immediately try them on)

Not me Monday

Yesterday I DID NOT not make dinner for my child and go get fried chicken because I can eat on and not cook for 2 days at least.

I DID NOT let my child watch tv all day so I could just be depressed and sit around all day

I DID NOT put the kids to bed an hr early so I could get an hr more of "me time" (dont worry it didnt last long and I paid for it later b/c Landon was up at 11pm)

I DID NOT just put a pullup on my kid b/c I'm tired of him peeing in the floor constantly

I DID NOT give my child tylenol last night not just because he's teething but in hopes that he would sleep longer b/c I gave it to him.

Honestly I've been wondering how single parents do it. I mean honestly I think it would be easier if I had a job, so I could GET AWAY. I love my kids to death I do but at least when my husband is here if I want to, even if I dont, I have the option to just walk away from situations. Landon is teething its 2 teeth at once and he's been a living nightmare. Not to mention he just learned how to pull up on the side of his crib and he just pulls up and stands there and screams as soon as I shut the bedroom door. He wont let me rock him to sleep, he wont sleep when I lay him down anymore. I'm not even sure what to do
And Andrew, regressing so much on potty training. I'm sure because his daddy has been gone for 4 days now.
I'm so depressed and lonely, I am trying so hard to keep myself busy but on top of being stressed about the kids I just miss my husband. And I never thought I'd say that but I do. Apparently I am not the independent strong person I had perceived myself as. I am needy and pathetic.

Oh and I am NOT getting a cold or flu or something

He went from a week ago showing no signs of pulling up, except maybe a few failed attempts and falling over to pulling up on EVERYTHING this week. I thought for sure he was just never going to do it, now I'm regretting ever wanting him to! But I will take it, my first one did everything so early at least this one is staying a baby too!

We are also getting teeth, 2 teeth on the top that just havent popped through and his poor little gums are just swollen and you can feel the bumps. I actually resorted to giving him tylenol last night, tonight we tried motrin. He just cries and cries. I hate doing it but obviously he's in some pain. :(

Yes I did a craft, and I LOVE IT! Inspired by a blog someone shared with me http://joysofhome.blogspot.com/ I set off to make some initial blocks! I have some scrapbooking paper I bought for the boys blocks too that are really cute, I cant wait to make the collage in their rooms w/ the block and some maternity/baby pics!

Anyhow, here's the B, we havent found a home for it yet but it looks really funny where I have it sitting :)

These always crack me up, I dunno what's going through his head but the kid loves to draw!

Nothing exciting here, well Landon started "real" crawling today! He's been taking 1-3 steps up on his hands and knees for WEEKS now, and he has army crawled since he was 5 months but he's finally getting up on his hands and knees and taking off. He also pulls up on things and falls on his butt but today he thought oh I'll just walk away. He doesnt understand the concept that he CANT walk yet and he falls down :( poor kiddo.

I must have done something REALLY good

To be sooo blessed with such gorgeous loving happy children. I'm posting this picture to remind me how very blessed I am :) And that apparently I did something REALLY good!

They play so well together, I know it wont last forever but for now, they are completely head over heals in love with each other and I love watching them interact together. Andrew is so gentle and patient with Landon sometimes you'd swear he wasnt 3. Someday he will be an awesome father :)

Not much went on today, getting ready for a maternity shoot this weekend and today was DH's birthday! WOOHOO! We went to Genghis Grill (fancy schmancy) and then walked around the mall (yeah and it wasnt MY birthday either) and did some other shopping. He wants a TV so bad he drools, I guess someday I will have to give in and let him get one. Even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with ours.

After school snack

And we are home, all is well. My hungry eating machine wanted a snack. He didnt have any accidents at school 2 times in a row now so we are super happy!

And momarazzi struck while he was eating his snack and playing his leapster.

He colored his nose, deliberately colored his nose b/c he wanted to be blues clues ROFL. I swear he's the only kid that comes out of there covered from head to toe in markers. Probably because I dont let him have them at home after my entire wall got a pretty red mural, along w/ my floor, bed and new bedding.

Ah this is pretty much preschooler heaven here!

I'm beginning to hate Wednesdays

Wednesdays are the days that Andrew goes to school. Already the day is shot by having to run around to get ready in the morning and get him there in time.
This morning starts out fairly normal, Andrew eating his daily breakfast of oatmeal and fruit, watching Super Why. Andrew then running into Landon's room to wake him up way before I was going to. THEN we tried to get dressed, Andrew has this telling me "no" thing going on lately. It's driving me up the walls.

"Ok Andrew come on lets get dress"

"Nooooo" runs from me...

"Come on Andrew we're going to school dont you want to go play at the playground"

"NO!"

"Are you sre all your friends are there, come on you gotta get dressed! You cant go to school naked"

"NO!"

As you can see this goes nowhere and eventually it leads to a fit/mommy having to hold him down to get him dressed....so it starts. ACK, save me from my 3 yr old! He used to be so good, this is what I get for having such an easy baby.

So we get to school, late...he kicks off his shoes before I get him out of his carseat. I have to put Landon back in his carseat, put A's shoes on--of course we wore the ever hard to get back on slip on converse, get him into the school in which he throws himself on the floor and screams NO NO NO (Everyone staring at me) I dont even know what to do. On one hand I know he needs school specifically BECAUSE he's being like that, I dont want to pull him out and show him that it's ok to just stop doing things when you dont want to do them. On the other hand, what a nightmare. Poor baby :( He's fine once he gets into the class and can no longer see me, so that makes me feel better about it, but it breaks my heart. He's at such a rough patch in life, testing, trying, making mommy want to rip out her ovaries.

Anyhow, so I get home, Landon plays for a while and I put him down. I realize the dogs have chewed up, no destroyed a Born Free bottle (not cheap) Lovely
My house is a wreck but I'd rather sit here and blog about how crappy the morning has been LOL Ok I better get to cleaning :)
